Lawmakers asked to probe Morlu

Montserrado County District #10 Rep. Yekeh Y. Kolubah is asking his colleagues at the House of Representatives to ensure that ruling party Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) chair Mulbah Morlu answers questions in relation to his claim that opposition leaders want to assassinate President George Manneh Weah

Mr. Kolubah, a staunch critic of President Weah and his regime, announces through a communication to the House that he takes the claim very serious because it has the propensity to destabilize the fragile peace of Liberia.

The Co-chairman on the House Committee on Defense and Member of the Security Committee complains that Morlu’s statement is a complete instigation of attack on the lives of opposition political party leaders and politicians in Liberia which contravenes the tendency of democracy.
Meanwhile Mr. Kolubah’s communication was not discussed by the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

However Kolubah recalls that it was the same CDC chairman who sometime back, made claim that he saw pickups loaded with tons of Liberian dollars and departed the National Housing Bank at a time tension was high in the country about Liberia’s alleged missing billions local currency.
According to him, Morlu is again insinuating that opposition politicians want to assassinate the President Weah.
