LBF Championship Chase In Full Swing

The Liberia Basketball Federation (LBF) National Championship Chase continued on Monday of this week with several interesting matches at the Refurbished Open-Air Sports Commissions on Broad Street.

In a third division game, Destiny Kings put up a splendid performance when she came from 10 points behind and defeated rival Destiny Warriors 41 to 40 points.

Georgia Blazers destroyed Junior Rockies 73 to 35 points in a highly entertaining Second Division Basketball display. In the 3rd and 2nd Division pairing of the day, Bardnersvill Snappers narrowly lost to Deviers in a cooperative 50 to 51 Basketball show down.

Meanwhile, the competition continues today at the same venue with more exciting encounters.

In an all female pairing, Commissioners will rub shoulders with K-Deltas in game one, while Timber Wolves meets Destiny Queen in the second match and Wilioria Patriots will play Dream Team in the day’s only Male Basketball Match.

In a related development, the Liberia Basketball Federation (LBF) will this Saturday, April 3, 2010 conduct a major workshop for all of its coaches participating in the on going league.

According to a release, all coaches are encouraged to take advantage of the pending training, as it is intended to adequately prepare all of them for the challenges in the current league season.

The release, which was signed by Mr. Fred J. Pratt, Secretary General of the LBF, adds that any coach or coaches who will be absent from the workshop will   not be allowed to coach for the rest of the season.
