The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has begun training for Confederation of African Football (CAF) License ‘C’ Module Three at the George Weah Technical Center in Careysburg, Montserrado county.
The course began on 13 September with several presentations by facilitators on theoretical and practical aspects of the game. It is being attended by 80 participants from Bomi, Bong, Grand Bassa, Margibi, Montserrado, Nimba, River Cess and River Gee counties, respectively, and is expected to end on September 18, 2022.
Some participants include former Liberian internationals Sunday Seah, Nathaniel Sherman, Cecelia Alpha, and female youth international Kebeh Lamine.
Others are Liberia Football Coaches Association (LIFOCA) secretary-general Thery D. Cole, Determine Girls FC deputy coach Patience Gwah, Trainer Emmanuel Bearkie and World Girls FC Coach Daniel Sasley.
The CAF License ‘C’ Module Three is facilitated by LFA technical director Henry Browne, LFA women’s football manager Francis Tamba, former coach Joseph Kaetu Smith and LFA media manager Danesius Marteh.
Local coaching instructors Lucretius Togba, Arab Daei Fofana and Famatta Dean also serve as facilitators.
Meanwhile, Module One phase of the exercise was held in Grand Bassa, Grand Gedeh and Montserrado counties in April, followed by Module Two in Careysburg, outside Monrovia from 22-28 August. Editing by Jonathan Browne
