LFA League closes on Friday

The President of the Liberia Football Association, Musa Bility has disclosed that the 2013/14 national league will close this Friday at the BYC -PHP home ground, U. N Drive, south of Monrovia.

The Chief Patron of Sports, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, along with the Speaker of the House of Representatives and other sports enthusiasts in the country, is expected to grace the LFA closing ceremony which begins at 2pm, according to Mr. Bility.

He said the LFA Super Cup, which  commences the 2015 league season, will take please at 4pm on Friday at the Blue field between the two champions in the Liberian nation league- the Barrack Young Controller (BYC) and FC Fessell, to determine the best team in the LFA.

The Barrack Young Controllers- the defining champions of the Liberia Football National league already has record over Fessell, while the latter- a second division team, are the champions of the FA Cup 2014.

The two teams just ended their participation in the CAF league with eliminations from Stade de Banjul of the Gambia and Horoyah F.C of Guinea.

Meanwhile, 30 Liberian coaches have ended License B training by CAF in Monrovia.

The coaches are all reported to have passed the courses offered during the training, and were now License B holder.

They are now capacitated to take over the national teams of Liberia.

A person coaching any CAF-sponsored league must be a License B holder.

Most former players of the national team of Liberia, involved with the training, including senior national team Manager James saalinsa Debbah, are now qualified to take responsibility of the various national teams of Liberia.
