Liberians should be proud of their country

Vice President Joseph N. Boakai says Liberia is a great nation, with a rich cultural heritage and a great people and that all Liberians should be proud of their Country, keep their heads up high, despite challenges facing the country in the nation building process.

He said Liberians both at home and in the diaspora should to take advantage of opportunities to pursue education and skills that are critical to the nation building process and encouraged all Liberians to contribute in one way or the other to offset the challenges of national reconstruction.

According to a release from the Office of the Vice President he was speaking Wednesday at his Capitol Building Office when he received in audience a twelve man delegation from the European Federation of Liberian Associations during a courtesy visit.

Vice President Boakai said in the country where expectations are high, it was the responsibility of all Liberians to get the required education and skills that are needed to move the nation forward, adding,” we must come together as a people to make things work.”

The delegation told the Vice President that some their members are engaged in businesses that could create jobs in the country and noted that they will work together with local entrepreneurs to achieve their goals, a release from the Vice President’s Office said.
