LISCR FC’s Delegation Off To Israel

Liberia’s premiership champion LISCR FC on Tuesday morning dispatched three footballers to Israel for tryouts. The Gardnerville based premiership club has Vatilis Sieh as the only player in the delegation that just won the premiership title; Sieh won the golden boot during the just ended phase one premiership with fifteen goals.

Other members of the trip include former Jubilee FC and Under-20 winger Stanley Whitfield who were recently transferred from Jubilee FC to LISCR for US$750. The Liberia Football Association’s 2nd Division Champion Garnerville FC top goal netter James Richardson is the youngest player on the trip.

Richardson is the only low division player who scored a hate-trick during the knock-out competition won by IE ahead of Barrack Young Controllers this year. He started his career with Ghanaian 3rd division Young Heats and later joined Genesis Football Academy in Ghana before landing at Georgia FC in 2008 and finally settling down with LISCR FC feeder team Garnerville FC last year.

Roberto Landi Lands Returns Wednesday

Lone Star’s Italian hired coach Roberto Landi will arrive in the country today to finalize his contract with the Liberia Football Association and start preparation for the upcoming international friendly with Angola. Report from the local football house indicates that Coach Landi will be handed a permanent deal after he ensured a home victory for Liberia after four years.

According to sources, Landi had presented a 22-man listing for the international friendly without input of his deputy Kelvin Sebwe and other workmates. Although names making the international friendly are yet to be made public by the local football house, fans have begun to caution that unattached players should stay clear of the composition.
