LLC suspends SG

The executive board of the Liberia Labour Congress or LCC has announced the immediate suspension of its General Secretary, Mr. John Nyema Natt, for time indefinite, for allegedly violating article 28 of the LCC’s constitution.

According to Mr. Alfred Thomas, president general of the congress, the Executive Board of the Liberia Labour Congress is convening an extraordinary meeting to address an urgent request from the committee of the LCC on matters of constitutional breach by the Secretary General.

The president general pointed out that the congress met in full session at the J. B. McGill Labour center on September 10, 2014 and deliberated on issues as required by the constitution in relation to article 28, which established the act of administrative ineptitude that brings the LLC to public disrepute by the Secretary General.

He also narrated that Mr. John Natt left the country for Bulgaria on his personal arrangement without the consent of the Liberia Labour Congress and further that while the SG was away, he used the congress letter head for his own selfish game, which the president termed as against the constitution. All efforts to contact Mr. John Natt over the weekend were fruitless as his contact number provided was inactive.
