Local palm farm corporative to get boost

A Senator of Bong County has assured the leadership of the Pulukpeh-Multipurpose Corporative Society in Suakoko District of an improved palm farm project.


The Pulukpeh Multipurpose Corporative Society is a palm farm initiative established more than a decade in Raymond Town, Bong County by a group of local farmers in Suakoko District to better their living standards.

Senator Henry Yallah in an interview recently disclosed that the leadership of the Corporative pleaded with him and his colleagues to help restore productivity within the corporative.

Senator Yallah committed himself to ensuring that progress is made at the corporative for a better society. The Bong County Senator narrated that he is currently working alongside Senators Albert Chea and Armah Zulu Jallah to meet the demand of the palm farmers in the town.

He said at that meeting, he promised the citizens that they as Senators were in negotiation with some palm farming experts from Malaysia to assist Pulukpeh. According to him, and the two Senators will travel to Malaysia this month to hold talks with the experts to direct some of their knowledge to the people in the town to improve their wellbeing. He also named Gbarpolu as one of the targeted areas to benefit from their travel to Malaysia to improve palm farm production in the region.
