The locals of Bukon Jaadae in Kpanyan Statutory District, Sinoe County have accused the government of neglect. The disclosure was made by a representative aspirant from the district Lea Roosevelt Chea of the opposition Liberty Party or LP. The people said the government and incumbent representative Jefferson Karmoh has failed to improve their living conditions.

Aspirant Chea named the lack of safe drinking water, road network, and health facilities as among problems faced by the people. He also pointed to the lack of good educational facilities which was causing many children of school-going age to engage in mining activities for survival, noting this is discrimination by the government.

He noted that Bukon Jaedae is one of the districts endowed with natural resources that are contributing to the national economy so it should not be left undeveloped.
