Liberia’s main GSM service provider, Lonestar Communication Corporation (LCC or Lonestarcell) last Saturday, February 19, 2011 launched its second raffle draw for its numerous subscribers across Liberia. The ceremony was held at Lonestar cell’s Broad Street office in Monrovia.
Speaking during the occasion, LCC Marketing Officer Lorenzo Harmon said the draw was a result of several appeals from subscribers for a re-run of what was dubbed as the company’s ‘special year end raffle draw’ which ended some three weeks ago.
Mr. Harmon described the just- launched LCC raffle draw as a giveaway, parked with a number of goodies, including TVS Sports motorcycle, three fully loaded Chevrolet Aveo cars, color television sets, modern DVD stereo players and tiger generators, among others.
He added that the 441 and 599 subscribers have expressed willingness to participate in the past and ongoing raffle by recharging continuously with any denomination of recharged card (from US$1.00 upward). Mr. Harmon noted, “All a Lonestarcell subscriber needs to do is to recharge up to US $ 10.00 a week to qualify for either the cars or other valuables just named.”
Meanwhile, 25 lucky LCC subscribers last Saturday walked away with several valuables. The subscribers’ numbers appeared during the first edition of Lonestarcell’s second raffle draw held at its Broad Street office in Monrovia. The prizes taken away were bags of rice, tiger generators, free US $ 50.00 air time, DVD stereo players and color television sets.
Among the winners were Bai JC Walker (06345677), Mark Harmon (06763338), Emmanuel Morris (06368152), as well as Grace Beatrice Manner (06838104) and Lamine Kromah (0880513265), among others. At the same time, the giveaway exercise will continue this Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the same venue.
