Liberia’s GSM giant, Lonestar Cell MTN has bided farewell to Nigerian music icon J Martin and Ghanaian duo singer, R2Bees as they depart Liberia. Lonestar Cell MTN said the musicians’ visit here was successful and expressed gratitude for accepting the invitation to come to Liberia.
Lonestar Cell MTN in collaboration with Soundcity on Sunday, 16 March set Liberia on fire in a Beach Jam concert, featuring Nigerian J Martin and Ghanaian R2Bees along with scores of local artistes, including Liberia’s Tarkun J, and others.
A senior staff of Lonestar Cell MTN Moima Briggs Mensah praised the musicians for tolerance exhibited during their stay in Liberia. She said the company welcomes the level of collaboration shown by J Martin to help Liberian musicians enhance their career.
Moima said Lonestar Cell MTN is proud to have Tarkun as its ambassador, and that the company looks forward to welcoming onboard other Liberian musicians in the future. Lonestar Cell MTN has signed a two-year partnership agreement with top and renowned Liberian HIPCO Star Jonathan Koffa, otherwise known as Takun J.
The agreement is aimed at promoting Liberian music and the Liberian star. Takun J is expected to appear and perform on Lonestar Cell MTN programs to serve as a representation of Liberian musical stars.
According to Moima, the GSM giant is always willing to improve and promote Liberian music, “We at Lonestar Cell MTN love to promote Liberian music; we are very proud to hear that Liberian artists will be teaming up with J Martin,” she said. Moima stressed the need for all Liberian musical artists to come together and improve Liberian music and take it to the next level.
