Lonestar Cell MTN Co-sponsors Liberian Fashion
Lonestar Cell MTN says it is proud to be among many other partners to sponsor the three-day fashion events in Liberia that is intended to market Liberian made fashion designs to the world.
The fashion events under the umbrella ‘Liberia Fashion Week’ is being co-sponsored by Liberia’s GSM giant Lonestar Cell MTN. The three-day events will feature designs and modeling talents from Liberia and surrounding Western African countries.
The Liberia Fashion Week was kicked off Tuesday in Monrovia with a grand opening for the runway shows. The program, which was held at the prestigious Bella Casa Hotel in Monrovia, brought together fashion designs from Liberia placed on public exhibition. The fashion week is a platform that gathers designers, fashion trends, and events from the entire country and Africa to one place.
A senior staff of Lonestar Cell MTN, Madam Moima Briggs Mensah said, her company will continue to take an interest in everything that will improve the image of Liberia.
Madam Mensah said when an individual thinks about the word fashion, he or she thinks about outrageous runway outfits, Cocktail dresses and Tracksuits. She said whatever the impression of fashion, it is obvious that fashion plays an important role in today’s society.
“We are judged by our clothing and appearance on an everyday basis, so why not make the most of our choices? The Lonestar Cell MTN wants to see Liberians proud of their own fashion.
She disclosed that Lonestar Cell MTN is not only in the telecommunication business, but is also involved in bettering the lives of people and building the capacity of young people.

She noted that it is not a mistake for the GSM giant to be part of the sponsorship of the Monrovia Fashion Week, pointing out that CEO Tebogo Mogapi, is always happy to see the company impacts the lives of all Liberians.
Madam Mensah however called on Lonestar Cell MTN subscribers to continue to recharge their phones up to $US5 a week to stand a chance in winning the 3rd car this year. She also encouraged drivers to purchase their gas from the SP Gas station, using mobile money.
The Lonestar Cell MTN executive also encouraged passengers moving from one place to another to pay their transport fares through mobile money with the mobile money branded vehicles plying the streets.
