Lonestar Cell MTN Gives to Muslims

Lonestar Cell MTN on Thursday August 8, 2013 identified with the Muslims Community of Liberia in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan. Employees of Lonestar Cell Thursday braved the heavy downpour like last year, sharing water and juices among Muslims climaxing the fast month.

Some mosques that benefited from the company’s gesture include the Mechline and Gurley Street Central mosques, 17th Street and Fish Market mosques, among others.

Lonstar Cell commended Muslims in Liberia for their commitment in praying for the nation, particularly during the month-long fast and prayer. The company said the Muslim Community in Liberia plays a vital role in the peace and security of the country, especially praying and fasting for an entire month.

Meanwhile, an official of Lonestar Cell Moima Briggs Mensah described Muslims as great people who are always willing to share. Madam Mensah said Lonestar Cell is proud to identify with all Liberians, including members of the Muslim community. She noted that water brings live and the Muslims will need water, while breaking the fast and the kids will enjoy the juices as they celebrate Ramadan.

Muslims from all over the country were yesterday seen at public gatherings, including sports stadiums and various mosques in Monrovia and its environs beautifully dressed and dancing, sharing fun, as well as giving alms to friends and less fortunate members of the society.

The observance of Holy Ramadan by Muslims around the world is part of the five main pillars of the Islamic faith. It is observed at the close of a month-long fast and prayer for Allah’s peace and blessings on the state, family members and individual lives as well as businesses.
