Liberia’s GSM giant, Lone Star cell/MTN Sunday 23 June ended its father’s day raffle draw competition at the Royal Grand Hotel in Sinkor, Monrovia with a diner for its winners.
The raffle draw was intended to treat winners and their fathers at a special dinner. The competition which ran throughout June requested the company’s subscribers to text Dad to 3232 to qualify for the draw.
At least of the over one million subscribers throughout the country, Mr. Prince Snorweah of Brewerville, Moses Darpoh of Logan Town, and Phedesco Moore were declared winners of the competition and were treated with their special fathers.
Mr. Snorwah, in a brief statement thanked the GSM Company for giving him the opportunity to show how much he loves his father.
“I will never forget this moment,” he said, adding, “for me to sit in this place that I have not been before to wine and dine among international people its a life time experience.”
He told journalists at the Royal Hotel that when he first received the massage on his mobile phone that he has won, he took it for a joke. But he later decided to join the competition and texted five times. An Official of the Lone Star Cell MTN Edna Thomson said the company is always up to its promise to the public.
She narrated that since the raffle draw started for the Father’s Day; there have been three winners along with their special fathers making the total number of six (6) winners, with all of them going for dinner at the Royal Grand Hotel. According to her, the winners did not just have dinner but they were presented a gift each for their special mothers by Lonestar Cell MTN.
