Liberia’s leading telecommunications company Lonestar Cell MTN has launched its youth platform called MTN Plug at a fun-packed event that saw the gathering of Liberia’s youth and top celebrities.
The platform was launched on Saturday night, 18 May at the Millennium Guest House in Congo Town.The Platform, MTN Plug, is the first of its kind in Liberia.According to a press release issued Monday, 20 May, Plug was created in collaboration with a cross-section of the Liberian youth for the Liberian youth.
“It is exclusively available to young people between 18 and 30 years old, and provides them with products and services tailored to their lifestyle,” Lonestar Cell MTN says in a press release.
Plug promises a life of no restrictions and provides subscribers with free social media benefits as well as amazing discounts for internet usage and voice calls.
It goes even further beyond that to provide subscribers with discounts at cinemas, restaurants and other popular hangout spots.Lonestar Cell MTN customers who fall within the age range can subscribe to Plug by dialing *231#, the release says.
All new subscriptions receive 100MB of data as a welcome offer.
In addition, Plug has a referral rewards system that rewards subscribers with free data when they successfully invite their friends to join the platform.Yaw AnkomaAgyapong, CMO of Lonestar Cell MTN explained that Plug was built on 3 main pillars; Community, Self-Expression and Identity.
