Lonestar Cell MTN Sends 5 To Ghana
Five lucky subscribers of the Lonestar Cell MTN, who won the company’s Fantastic Week raffle week last Friday are expected to department Liberia Wednesday for an all-expense paid trip to Ghana, with US$500.00 pocket money each. The raffle draw was held Friday night at the Paynesville Town Hall, outside Monrovia.
The winners include Jacob Molon of Barnesville; Joe Geetoe of Jacob Town; Watchen Bruce of Duazon; Ishmail Turay of Gardenesville and Roland Sawieh of 6th Street, Sinkor, respectively.
A subscriber, who recharged up to US$5.00 from July 19-26, 2012, automatically gained entry into the raffle, which was one of Lonestar Cell MTN’s Independence draws, bonuses and gifts to its many subscribers.
The Brand Manager of Lonestar Cell Garrison Barh said the strength of the company’s success lies with its subscribers. He encouraged Liberians to keep reading messages received on their phones, adding, that the company will continue to put smiles on the faces of subscribers. One of the winners expected for the Ghana trip, Watchen Bruce of Duazon said the company took her by supervise when she was declared a winner.
”I really thought it was some of those fools who always make fun of people of winning something, but later did I realize that it was real when I came to head office,” she noted.
At the same time, Lonestar Cell MTN stage an Independence Day musical extravaganza for Liberian artists and actresses. The occasion was highly entertaining, featuring many local musical stars, who praised Lonestar Cell MTN for setting the stage for them to demonstrate their talent during the country’s 165th Independence celebrations.
The local musicians thrilled the Paynesville City Hall Friday night up to Saturday morning when fans and other musicians saw their fellow Liberians performing. Lonestar Cell organized the concert as part of the company’s efforts in encouraging and promoting local stars in the music industry. The occasion came amidst complaints by local musicians of marginalization.

It can be recalled that some local musicians threatened to have boycotted an Independence Day musical concert because a foreign artist called ‘Azonto’ was invited, relegating them, which they observed many Liberian institutions have done over the years.
