A 28-year-old subscriber Stockton Yelekeh has won a brand new Hyundai Asante car worth US$16, 500.00 as a valentine gift from Lonestar cell/MTN.
Mr. Yelekeh, a resident of Ganta, Nimba County, GSM number surfaced as winner during a special raffle draw held Sunday, February 12, 2012 at a local beach when Lonestar Cell/MTN employees and other Liberians converged in a pre-Valentine’s Day celebration.
When the company’s Marketing Officer Mr. Ibrahim Daramie established contact with Mr. Yelekeh and broke the news of his fortune, he could not hold back his excitement, but shouted, “I am a winner; I now have a car; Lonestar Cell/MTN has given me my own.”
The proud winner is a member of the Ganta United Methodist Church, a secondary school graduate and a local petroleum retailer. He told this paper via cellular phone yesterday that he intends to privately use the car to remind him of the generosity of Lonestar Cell/MTN.
“I will use the car so that other people can see me and know that Lonestar Cell/MTN is not just here to afford us an opportunity to communicate, but is also working to transform Liberians’ lives”, he added.
Mr. Yelekeh arrived in Monrovia late yesterday evening and is about now holding talks with the GSM operator for possible turnover of his new asset.
Meanwhile, four lucky and loyal subscribers, including Madam Grace Kennedy, Madam Kaymah Flomo, Mr. Enoch Jordan and Mr. John Flomo were on Sunday awarded cash prizes as daily winners of Lonestar Cell/MTN ongoing text and win promotions.
Madam Kennedy, a resident of Duala, received L$65, 800.00 cash prize for sending nine Short Message Sending (SMS) to short code 3310, while Madam Flomo, a resident of Ninth Street, Sinkor became L$70, 000.00 richer as a result of sending 10 SMS to the same code.
Mr. Jordan, a resident of GSA Road, Paynesville and Mr. Flomo, a resident of Gardnersville each pockets L$35, 000.00 and 10,500.00, respectively. Mr. Jordan sent four SMS to 3310, while Mr. Flomo sent only one to the same code.
