Lonestar MTN unveils Recharge & Bumpay mega promotion

Liberia’s leading GSM giant, Lonestar Cell MTN in partnership with Coacola Liberia has unveiled what it calls “Recharge & Bumpay mega promotion” with life-changing amazing prizes for lucky subscribers across the country and in the diaspora. 

The program will last for three months with a possible extension. The launch of the program took place on Wednesday, 21 February 2024 at the GSM company’s head office in Congo Town in the presence of internal stakeholders.

With the introduction of the Recharge & Bumpay mega promotion, Lonestar Cell MTN takes another step forward in realizing the promise of a digital world while at the same time investing in its customers. 

The initiative commenced immediately after it was launched.

Acting Chief Marketing Officer, Kolubah Flomo described the initiative as a significant giveaway from Lonestar Cell MTN to its valued customers in Liberia and beyond.

Flomo noted that every customer deserves the benefit of a modern connected life.

He named the grand prize of a three-bedroom house worth USD$60, 000 and many exciting prizes including smart TV, smartphones, bikes, kehkeh, crate of coke, among others.

Flomo explained that these prizes will be won through weekly, monthly, and grand draws and customers can participate only by recharging card or momo. 

The giveaway for the promo also includes airtime and data to encourage viewers to stay engaged with the promotion details. 

Giving further background information about the promotion, Mr. Flomo indicated that the program is not just another campaign.

He said it is a testament to Lonestar Cell MTN’s commitment to improving the livelihood of subscribers through driving innovation by taking them on par with what is happening in the region and globally when it comes to the technology of a cashless society.

“Of recent we have embarked on the modernization of our network, and we managed to modernize most of our network which our customers stood by us.”

“This promotion, Recharge & bumpy mega promotion is giving back to our customers to say thank you for your loyalty to Lonestar Cell MTN,” he explained.

For his part, Christopher Ssali, General Manager of MTN Mobile Money, emphasized that the goal and objective of Lonestar Cell MTN are to drive a digital world.

He encouraged customers to make use of mobile money which he noted will drive a cashless society.

“If you recharge using mobile money you [will] be able to get double points during the promotion as compared to a single point when you recharge using scratch card for the program. Our intention is to promote a digital world,” he said.

Abubakari Haiidu, Senior Manager, Sales and Distribution, highlighted the impact and coverage of the campaign.

Haiidu noted that this demonstrated that all Lonestar Cell MTN’s customers across the country now have the opportunity to own a house. 

He stressed that customers have many chances to win exciting prizes from the campaign which is a life-touching initiative for all customers.
