Lonestarcell Gives Second Car at Beach Jamboree

Many Liberians celebrated November 29, birth anniversary of Liberia’s 18th President William V.S. Tubman in different forms and ways with some spending the holiday with family and loved ones, while others went to games, shows and on the beach.

But Jeffery Gbartele of Gbarnga, Bong County celebrated the day with joy and excitements, having been told that he had won the second car in the Lonestar Cell MTN raffle. Lonestar Cell MTN has for the second time gave away the second new AVEO Chevrolet vehicle value about US$17,000 this time, to Jeffery upon declaring him the winner of the November draw.

The GSM company prior to the draw held a jamboree on Bernard Beach, which brought together thousands of subscribers in the queue to purchase a Lonestar Cell MTN phone that was given out for US$6.00

At the jamboree, Lonestar Cell MTN awarded one AVEO Cheverlet car as a grand prize to Jeffery Gbartele of Gbarnga Bong County, becoming second to Shadrach Jabateh of Ganta, Nimba County, who won the first draw.

Lonestar Cell MTN on Sunday, February 12, 2012, held a beach jamboree at the Barnes Beach in Thinkers Village, Paynesville, outside Monrovia. At the jamboree, the company awarded one Hyundai car as a grand prize to Shadrach Jabateh.

Jabateh, who lives in Ganta, Nimba County, was awarded the car because his number was drawn as the company’s luckiest subscribers for the “fantastic Friday.” Last year’s car was awarded as a fantastic Friday gift, but this year, Jeffery won the car as the luckiest subscribers among over 5,000 subscribers, who participated in the draw.

Subscribers automatically get qualified and entered the draw upon using US$5 scratch cards weekly. This year, the GSM giant promised to give away three cars in October, November and December, respectively.

Two cars have already been won by two lucky subscribers for the months of October and November. A woman filled with disbeliefs about the Lonestar Cell MTN raffle draw, Esther Wallace became the first winner.

Madam Esther Wallace of Chicken Soup Factory in Gardnerville stood in complete disbelief recently when the staff of the GSM giant called on her mobile phone and broken the news that she has won a new AVEO Chevrolet vehicle valued at US$17,000.
