LRDN to award young Liberians for excellence

The Executive Director of the Liberia Research and Development Network John S. M. Yormie, Jr discloses ongoing plan to organize an excellence youth awards aim at building capacity of young people in Liberia.


Speaking on a local radio station Wednesday, he says there are so many youth in Liberia who have been committed to community services, but are not being recognized.

The LRDN boss explains the award program will highlight community services, entrepreneurship, sports, and music, amongst others.The program titled “LRDN Young Liberian Excellence Award” with theme: “Bridging Talents with Integrity” will see young innovative Liberians being awarded for their exceptional talents.

He says the award will be held on August 24, 2018 at the Bella Cassa Hotel in Sinkor, working in collaboration with other youth groups.“We actually have branded this award program today in Liberia and we will be highlighting 44 young persons at the ages 24 and below.” He explains.

He Yormie adds that lot of young people in Liberia really need attention, stressing that if those young people talents can be showed case and promoted, it will be a great help in the society.

“We are committed to enhancing social and natural Science research support to scholars and public agencies for research, and educational activities. To conduct quality research through innovative data collection and analysis, build capacities and conduct consultancy services. We accomplish this by sharing a diverse trained and intellectually engaged research analysts and officers; efficient and effective system and process restrained by ethical leadership.”
