Man, 25 hangs himself in Lofa

Reports from Lofa county says a 25 year old man identified as Quoiquoi Howard has committed suicide. According to our Lofa county correspondent, the incident occurred on Sunday July 3, in Fasazu village within the Zorzor district area.

According to police authorities in the county, the 25 years old victim lifeless body was discovered hanging in a tree by a 43 year old farmer only identified as Flomo who had gone to visit his wine tree.

Our correspondent quotes CSD investigators as saying that the 25 year old victim took in dry cell batteries before using potion of the clothes to hang himself in the bush.The mother of the deceased told police that her son did inform her that he was leaving for Gbarnga for what he described as better or improved living condition and also told his grandmother that he was travelling to where she could not easily see him again before departing the house.

Following the discovery of his lifeless body, a 15 men jury was setup to examine the body and reported that he died as a result of the hanging and the consumption of the dry cell batteries. He has since been buried.
