Man 32 arrested for raping 13 year girl in Sinoe

Police in Greenville City, Sinoe County have arrested a 32 year – old man, suspect Abraham Teah for allegedly raping a 13 year old girl in the Down Town Community.

In its regular chat with correspondents across the country, State Broadcaster ELBC aired the information during its Super Morning Show Wednesday morning, 5 April. It says Sinoe County police detachment took the decision to take custody of suspect Teah, based on the victim’s explanation that he had allegedly raped her.

“Following the arrest of the alleged suspect, the police carried out its investigation and came up with some visible facts which shows that the suspect was directly involved with the act,” an ELBC correspondent in Sione says.

Police were reported to have gone into the home of suspect Teah, and found blood stain on the suspect’s bed, including blood on the boxer that he was wearing as at the time the incident allegedly occurred.

Investigators are said to have used what was discovered in the suspect’s room as evidence to keep him in custody while awaiting court trial. The grandparents of the victim claimed that their granddaughter openly told them that suspect Teah had allegedly raped her. The victim was reported to be undergoing serious medical treatment at the F. J. Grant Hospital.

But the suspect has allegedly told police in the county that he was being falsely accused of the crime levied against him. He claimed that he saw the victim walking in tears, and he decided to help by taking her to his house. He insists that he only offered the victim some help, saying he did it because he has a sister like the little girl in question.
