Man Arrested for Recruiting Rebels
Liberian Police in Nimba County have reportedly arrested a 40 year-old man in connection with recruiting fighters allegedly for Ivoirian leader, Laurent Gbabgo.

According to our Nimba County correspondent, Paul Karngo who claimed to be an Ivoirian refugee was arrested by the local security in Karnplay, 19 kilometers from the border town of Lougatuo in Nimba County.
Confirming the report, James Karto, the local Chief of Crime Services in Sanniquellie said that the suspect, arrested a few days ago, has already been transferred to Monrovia for interrogation. Karto claimed that the suspect was brought to Monrovia because of the sensitive nature of the case.
Meanwhile, border patrol and monitoring in the area have been intensified as the conflict in the Ivory Coast continues. The involvement of Liberians on both sides of the two presidential claimants is public.
