Officers of the Liberia National Police (LNP) in Lofa County have arrested three persons for allegedly beating 30-year-old Mulbah Zayzay to death. Police investigators identified the suspects as Eric Yekeh, 26, Junior Zazavilly, 37, and David Gboluma, 28. The incident reportedly occurred on June 5th.
An LNP release issued in Monrovia Thursday said the suspects are residents of Yeala Town, while the victim resided in Zowulomai Town, Lofa respectively. Though police are yet to reveal what actually led the suspects to have allegedly killed the victim, authorities disclosed that victim Mulbah Zayzay was pronounced dead by medical officer (unidentified) upon arrival at the Yeala Clinic.
Notwithstanding, police authorities say the three suspects are presently in detention, undergoing further investigation by officers of the Crime Service Department (CSD) in Lofa County.
In another development, Police in Ganta, Nimba County have arrested a 34- year-old Kaileilu Pogan for firing three bullets of Single Barrel Gun, allegedly wounding his fiancée.
Police say the suspect fled the scene after committing the crime, but was later arrested on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in Nimba County. Police investigation revealed that suspect Pogan allegedly committed the act because he suspected his fiancée of being in an extra relationship.
The suspect is currently in police detention, undergoing criminal investigation at the Ganta Police Station, while the victim Christina Paye, is said to be undergoing medication at the Ganta United Methodist Hospital in Nimba.
