Man charged’s for killing girlfriend

Police in Monrovia have charged suspect Peter Seabo, Jr., a resident of the Wood-camp Community in Paynesville outside Monrovia with murder over claims that he shot and killed his fiancée, JankaiSarlia with a Guinean -made single barrel pistol on 30 April this year.

Police investigators say detailed inquiries and eye-witnesses’ account reveal that the victim and suspect Seabo were in intimate relationship for long time, allegedly meeting regularly while she was still living with her parents in Brewerville, Virginia but the alleged killer lived in Wood-camp.

On Friday, 29 April the victim allegedly left her residence in Virginia and told her mother that she was going to visit her uncle named Mr. Wesseh Johnson of the 72nd Community in Paynesville. It is alleged that while victim Sarlia was at her uncle’s house, she called her mother’s phone and instructed her sister to give her friend’s number called P-40 (alias Peter Seabo) before leaving her uncle’s house.

Police said suspect Seabo left his friends Bobby Massaquoi and Rahim Sheriff at a wake in Wood-camp, telling them that he was going to pick up his girlfriend at Parker Paint Junction. After few minutes, he allegedly arrived with the victim dressed in orange blouse with inscription “miracle” at the front with blue long jeans trousers, carrying a white Nokia cell phone in her hand.

Having introduced victim Sarlia to his friends and offered her a large bottle of club bear on the wake, suspect Seabo and Sarlia later went in bed before a gun was allegedly fired in the suspect’s landlord’s house.
He was allegedly caught with the victim in a pool of blood on his bedroom floor, though he allegedly gave the impression that the girl shot herself.

He claimed that he was taking her to the hospital, but later dumped her body on the road, the police said.
The body was later discovered on Saturday, 30 April during the early morning hours on the main road in Wood-camp near the Assembly of God School, a footpath road leading to the suspect’s house.
While the body was at a funeral home on Tuesday, 3 March, the deceased’s family who had not been able to make contact with her since that fateful Friday she left, visited the Police’s Crimes Against Person Unit to verify information that a lady’s body had been discovered at Wood-camp.

The suspect was however charged with murder based on witnesses’ account, evidence adduced and his alleged admission.
