Man Found Dead With Drugs

A man identified as George Bailey has been discovered dead in the Marsh Farm, Kissi Camp Community on the Kakata-Gbarnga Highway. Bailey was found dead on Tuesday, 10 January by members of the community with blood oozing from his mouth, ears, head and nostril.

Community residents told this paper that some unspecified amount of Liberian dollars, 29 parcels of Marijuana and a mobile phone were found in his pockets during police examination. George, who community members identified as a resident, cause of death is yet unknown. The Police have launched an investigation in to the circumstances leading to his death.

In another development, three motorcyclists were arrested by the police for allegedly stealing mattresses and other goods from a vehicle which was heading to the central Liberian town of Gbarnga.  The accused persons were arrested in the same vicinity where George’s corpse was found Tuesday.

Of late, there have been reports of motorcyclists in Kakata City jumping on moving vehicles including pick-ups and trucks heading to the rural areas and snatching passengers’ personal belongings and other materials in addition to terrorizing various communities.
