Man in court for murder

By Lincoln G. Peters

The Liberia National Police has arrested, investigated, and duly charged suspect Toney G. Boimah, 46, for murder.

Suspect Boimah is a resident of the Parker Corner community, Brewerville, Montserrado County.

According to police, on 9 April 2023, suspect Boimah was arrested for allegedly chopping victim Lasana Fomba, Jr., on his head, elbow, neck, and fingers.

Fomba had reportedly left his Po-River residence, G4 community in Brewerville to visit his brother (Boakai Fomba Jawateh) when he was allegedly attacked.

Mr. Carter explained that suspect Boimah committed the crime with an object believed to be a cutlass, and later dumped the body on the train track.

“Suspect Boimah has been sent to Court for prosecution with the crime of Murder,” he said.

He said the crime contravenes multiple provisions of the Penal Code of the Republic of Liberia.
