Margibi Supt. on reconciliation

Following his appointment by the executive and subsequent confirmation by the Senate, Margibi County Superintended Jerry Varney outlines his vision for the county under the CDC-led government, pointing to reconciliation as key.

Superintendent Varney, who also chairs the Margibi County chapter of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change, promises the people of the county in a recent interview with reporters, “Be assured that this leadership will deliver nothing much but reconciliation, development, a united Margibi, a Margibi that we can see that I can leave from here and go to Buway’s (former superintendent) house and request for food and water and he will bring it for me to eat without fear”.

Mr. Varney, who has already had his first leadership meeting with the county legislative caucus, adds that he intends to also work with past and present leaders of Margibi for the betterment of the citizens.

According to him, he does not want to see a Margibi where his office staff would misinform him about others to create conflict in the county, noting that some of the misunderstandings in the leadership of the county came from their followers.

Superintendent Varney explains that first on his agenda is reconciliation, stressing that it’s time to put the county first in all that Margbians do, and let go the bitter past.
