Margibi youth’s on good leadership

A youth organization – Friends for the Future or 3F, has embarked on a campaign across the country to advocate and educate Liberians especially young people, on good leadership and young people representation in the governance processes of the country.

Speaking to a cross section of people recently at the Stanford Bridge Intellectual Forum in Weala, Margibi County, the Founder and former chairman of the 3F – also the Assistant Ambassador to Cathar, said the organization had seen the need to engaged advocacy to enlighten the minds of youing Liberians on how to make better decisions leading to good leadership structure with young people representation.

The Friends for the Future founder noted that the advocacy goes beyond Liberia, considering series of interactive forums with people on issues that move the country forward. He said the Government of Liberia to include Lawmakers and the local government structure, has challenges, specifically the issue of good leadership as the biggest of all.

According to Ambassador Silah, good leadership does not mean a person can feed people, pay tuition fees, as well as pay weeding fees, hospital bills, among others or say hello to people, but ensuring understanding of the tendency of democracy.

He indicated that 3F is an organization geared towards 2017 and beyond and not only meant to engage Liberians, but to provide consciousness on their rights and fundamental general principles of the constitution of Liberia.

He claimed that the organization is different from others on grounds that it is not focused on individuals for 2017; saying it is focused on sensitizing communities on issues that lead to development.
