The Grand Master of the Master Russian Martial Arts and Physical Fitness Academy Junior Pewee, alias Russian, said the donations are in fulfillment of the social responsibility of the Academy as well as a reminder of his own life.

“When my mother got pregnant for me, she was neglected by her family. What a wonderful mother, who refused to say no to abortion,” Master Russian said tearfully.

“I’m honored today by the world, Africa and even our President, Madam Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf for my role in promoting our country (Liberia) through martial arts,” he added.

He hailed members of the Master Russian Martial Arts and Physical Fitness Academy for their contributions, including the Rev. Dr. M. Wolo Belleh, Senior Pastor and Dean of the Bethel Cathedral of Hope.

“I say to you children, your condition today shouldn’t make you feel neglected; God knows exactly what you are going through; all you need to do is go to school; be honest and be willing to serve people so that you too will be served tomorrow,” Master Russian urged the orphans.

Speaking also during the program, the Spiritual Advisor of the TODCAD Charity Orphanage, Rev. Eric Kollie expressed thanks and appreciation to the Academy and Rev. Wolo Belleh through whom they became benefactors.

He then urged the Legislative Caucus of Grand Bassa County, to emulate the gesture of the Master Russian Martial Arts and Physical Fitness Academy by going to the rescue of destitute children across the country.

The Master Russian Martial Arts and Fitness Academy, previously known as the Scorpion Taekwondo Club, was established in 1993.
