Meet Acarius Moses Gray

The Congress for Democratic Change, (CDC) is one of 16 political parties that participated in the 2011 national elections in Liberia. Winston Tubman is Standard bearer of the CDC, and George Oppong Weah is the Vice Standard bearer of the party. Another vocal person, who’s also executive of the party, is Acarius Moses Gray.

Acarius Gray, a household name among Liberians is heard whenever there are major events undertaken by the party, including making statements, energizing partisans for Protest Marches.

Acarius Gray won his electoral seat as Representative for Districts # 8 Montserrado County, during the recent electoral process. The major power of the House is to pass legislation that affects the entire country, although its bills must also be passed by the Senate and further agreed to by the President before becoming law (unless both the House and Senate re-pass the legislation with a two-thirds majority in each chamber).

The Liberian Constitution grants the House several exclusive powers: the power to initiate revenue bills, and to impeach officials. Members of the House and the Senate meet at the Capitol Building, located opposite the Executive Mansion.

Meet Acarius Moses Gray, a member of the House of Representative for the next six years. In his position as Hon. Acarius Moses Gray, Acarius will be among others who will be debating policies, and making critical national decisions about our country and its people.
