Methodist delegate arrived in Liberia

A three – member delegation from the United Methodist Communication based in Nashville, Tennessee, USA is in Monrovia for a three – day visit as guest of the Liberia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.


According to a press release, the three – member delegation arrived in the country Tuesday, 3 April. On the delegation are Rev. Gary Henderson, Chief Relation Officer and Global Partner, Jennifer Rodia, Chief Communication Officer and Poonam Potadio, Chief Marketing Officer.

The release continues that during the delegation’s stay in Liberia, they will meet with the resident Bishop of the United Methodist Church here and hold series of conversation with key leaders of the Liberia Annual Conference.

It further mentions that the delegation will also understand better how the resources of the United Methodist Communications can be more useful tool for evangelism in Liberia and explore ways to develop better strategic partnerships globally.

The release adds that the delegation will further understand better the culture context and needs of the United Methodist Church in Liberia.

“The delegation will also tour Monrovia and meet with the president of the Press Union of Liberia and station manager of Radio Maria as a way of observing advertising and media consumption practices,” the release says.

It is the hope of the delegation that these series of conversation and engagements will lead to enhanced understanding that will give rise to more effective ministry together, the release concludes. — Press release
