MICAT boss debunks resignation rumor

Ministry of Information Cultural and Tourism (MICAT), Minister Ledgerhood J. Reenie has dismissed a media report here that he is contemplating resigning his post as minister of information in the Weah government.

“I have read with utter shock and bewilderment the front-page story of the Independent Newspaper suggesting that I am contemplating resigning my post as Minister of Information. The paper quoted what it called “credible sources” within the Ministry.

I wish to first distance myself from the publication as I have harbored no such intention. I remain very committed to serving my country, an opportunity which is bestowed through the appointment and subsequent commissioning by His Excellency Dr. George M Weah, President of the Republic of Liberia.

While I have been away in the US, access to me through many media of communications was still available to the publisher of the Independent Newspaper. But it was unfortunately never utilized.
