Minister Tokpa Hailed for Market Construction

Several citizens of Suakoko Town, Bong County are commending InternalAffairs Minister Henrique Tokpa for the ongoing construction of amodern market. Dr. Tokpa, after the 2014 Special Senatorial election- despite losing,immediately commenced the construction of a modern market in Suakokoto help market women who sat under deplorable kitchens to sell.

The initiative has now given relieve to market women, who continue toextend gratitude to Dr. Tokpa for restoring hope to them. Though finishing touches are being done on the market, it is currentlybeing used by marketers.

They told our Bong County correspondent that many of them lostessential goods during the peak of past rainy seasons as they had touse tarpaulin and old zinc to cover their market tables still affectedby rain.

They described Dr. Tokpa as a patriotic son of Bong County who ‘lost’a major election, but still continues his development initiative inthe county. According to the citizens, they had not thought such project couldhave been undertaken in their town, especially with the sponsorshipof Dr. Tokpa.
