In his letter to Plenary dated November 17, 2016, Representative Berrian said he has noticed with grave concern that the dedicated account for Montserrado County for the purpose of projects implementation, headed by Deputy Minister for Operations at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Kollie, has been depleted.
“Honorable Speaker, and distinguish colleagues, said account had an amount of US$1.8million out of which US$200,000 was withdrawn from the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) for Montserrado County. As such, the balance of US$1.6million should be the current balance and/or outstanding,” Representative Berrian’s letter explained.

After several minutes of deliberation, Plenary agreed to forward the invited officials to the leadership of the House of Representatives for probe.
