Montserrado students elect leadership

The Montserrado County Student Union over the weekend elected new corps of officers. The election was attended by various high schools in and around Montserrado County through a congress preparatory committee.
During the poll, the outgoing president of the Montserrado Student Union Ngombu Kpawor, served as election commission. Mr. Kpawor urged students in the county to take the process seriously.

A total of 47 qualified voters went to the poll, which was held at the offices of the Liberia National Student Union or LINSU in Monrovia. At debate prior to casting their ballots, candidates promised that if elected, they will do their best to bring change in the Montserrado County Student Union.

Student Mohammed Donzo of the B.W. Harris High school was elected on white ballot as president, while T. Sampson York of the Williams V. S. Tubman High School defeated Kollie Moore of the Seventh Day Advantage High School 30 to 17 votes to become vice president, and Freelance Paye of the St. Simon Baptist High School was elected Secretary General with Darcess Dossen of the J. J.  Roberts High School elected as Financial Secretary followed by George Kessely of the First Assembly of God High School as Treasure, respectively.
