More actions needed against Ebola -CSO Coordinator

Bong County Civil Society Coordinator, Stephen Mullba says it is now time to further advance action against Ebola, instead of the too much talking. Speaking to our Bong County correspondent in Gbarnga last Friday, Mr. Mulbah claimed that there has been more talking in the Ebola fight than action, indicating that it was time for serious action at all levels of the battle against Ebola, considering the continuous daily increase in the death toll and infection rates among the ordinary people.

Stephen said, though there were criticisms from some quarters of the County regarding the provision of US$50, 000 by the county authorities for the fight against the disease, it was of the belief that the money was rightfully utilized.

The Bong County CSOs Coordination commended administration of the County and the Task force in their strive to have Ebola eradicated from the County. The man, who has come under serious criticism for accepting a cash of US$1, 000 from county administration to help CSOs fight Ebola, said he remains the sole and legitimate coordinator of the Bong CSOs.

Commenting on the utilization of the US$1, 000, he said it was meant to enable the Council closely follow the Ebola activities across the County and not intended to provide awareness or buy buckets.

Mr. Mulbah called for the decentralization of the Ebola awareness across the County, noting that there were communities in Bong County yet to receive any form of awareness relating to the Ebola virus.
