Mothers should serve as role models

The Pastor of the God’s Love International Ministries along the Robertsfield Highway Rev. Mother Mana Wesaye is urging women across Liberia to be role models for their children, if they must become someone good in society.

Mother Wesaye reminds women that in as much they gave birth to children, they should not forget to play their motherly role at home, something, which she says would help children to fear God.

Preaching on Sunday, 13 May at the Mother Kebbeh Karnga Prayer and Delivering Ministry in Nickly town, Paynesville outside Monrovia during the observance of Mother’s Day she stressed, “If we want our children to come up the right way, without going astray then the responsibility lies on our shoulders to be their role models, because children follow what their parents do.”

During the program, the founder of the ministry Mother Kebbeh Karnga, was crowned Mother of the Year 2018/19 for her invaluable services to the Church, the State and humanity.

Mother Karnga is the Spiritual Advisor to President George Manneh Weah.Pastor Wesaye, who spoke on the theme; “Mother, God is watching you” with text 1st Kings 3:16 remind the congregation that whatever they are involved with God is watching them.

“You sit there and get yourself involved into wickedness and you think no one sees you, but today, I say to you that whatever wicked thing you are doing to your innocent children or your neighbor’s children, God is watching you, and if you don’t desist and repent from your sins, you shall see no mercy from God”, she admonishes.

According to Pastor Wesaye, women often cry out for marriage, noting that marriage is something that God himself must ordain and not just man, noting that man will deceive you but God will not.

“How can you hold onto someone’s husband and at the same time asking God to give you husband, until you can let go of that man, God can never bless you.”
She says many people misused the actual meaning of the mother title bestowed on them in the Church, saying that mother day program is in recognition of an admirable mother, who was made to provide an inspiration to the nation, and represent a mother’s unconditional love, inner strength, and courage.
