At least 10 out of 16 passengers were on last Tuesday seriously injured in a tragic motor accident on the Monrovia-Kakata highway in Margibi County.
The accident, involving a mini-truck marked TP-271, is reported to have occurred when the driver of the vehicle at a very high speed, lost control and sped into a nearby bush.
According to traffic officer James Flomo of the Margibi County Police Detachment, the vehicle was heading to Ganta from Monrovia.
Mr. Flomo said there was no death in the accident, but that the injured were rushed to the Charles H. Rennie Hospital in Kakata for medical treatment.
He said an elderly man believed to be the conductor of the vehicle and a passenger, Funda Tulay were on critical list, while an elder suffered double fractures in his leg and another person also suffered deep wounds on his leg and other parts of his body.
