Mount Zion Ministries donates food, L$37,800

The Mount Zion Outreach Ministries Incorporated over the weekend closed its 21 days fast and prayer with donating food and money to a blind group under the banner “Hope in God association of the Blind” along the Barnesville road in Gardnersville.

The group received 12 bags of rice, four cartoons of copybooks, several cartoons of soap, cartoon of salt, household materials and LD$37,800 cash, among others. 

The founder of the Mount Zion Outreach Ministries, Pastor Rachel W. Sieh, said, during the annual fast and prayer, God delivered a message for the Church to donate to the blind.

The ceremony took place over the weekend at the Mount Zion Outreach Ministries worship center in Day-break mouth open community, Christ the King yard Barnesville road.

“Today, we are breaking bread with our blind brothers and sisters; we have been through twenty-one day fast and prayer; according to the Bible, God said the kind of fast he wants is to break bread with people, feeding those that are hungry and that’s the heartbeat of Mount Zion Outreach Ministries. Usually in January when we are breaking, we go in the community and to churches, inviting the less fortunate; pray and give them some food,” Pastor Rachel Sieh said.

The general overseer further stated that they were led by the holy spirit that this year’ breaking ceremony should be held in their compound, inviting the blind to share with them.

“When I got the message, I started looking for a blind organization within the Gardnerville area but couldn’t find one, until one day when while coming from preaching, my driver showed a sign board that had this group name; we later went there and find out their problem that is how we started identifying with them,” the prelate narrated.

She pointed out that while trying to raise money to help the blind, one of her members called and give the ministry US$10, 000, while another provided US$2,000 which made it possible to embark on the spiritual exercise, renovating  the compound members of the group reside and donating food items.

The president for the Hope in God Association of the Blind thanked to God and members of the Mount Zion Outreach Ministry for the kind gesture.

The group said it was thru wonder of God that Mount Zion Outreach Ministry provided the assistance, adding, “Before the session, thing was not easy on us and we decided to write big people but none of them came to our aid. I have our district representative’s phone number ; when I called him, he told us that he was constructing a bridge, until those who we didn’t write came to our aid and fixed our houses and gave us food with clothes for our children to wear.”
