Muslims donate to Bong Clinic

The Bong County Muslim Youth Association has presented to the Joseph Manyango Clinic in Gbarnga ten thousand Liberian Dollars, along with a certificate for its dedication to health care delivery. According to the association, the clinic has and continues to work in the interest of the people of Bong County.

Presenting the cash and certificate last weekend, the President Alieu V. Sheriff said the Joseph Manyango Clinic stood its grounds during the height of the Ebola crisis, despite its limited resources. Mr. Sheriff said the sacrificial contributions the staff at the clinic continue to render to Gbarnga and its environs was great and needed commendation.

Also making remarks, the Secretary General of the National Muslim Youth Association, Bong Branch Alhaji Garfee Swaray, lauded the Muslim youths for their innovation in identifying with the Clinic during these difficult times. The Muslim Executives called on workers at the clinic to remain strong in catering to patients for a healthy environment.

Receiving the items, the Clinic’s Administrator Joseph Manyango expressed gratitude to the Muslim community for being farsighted in its humanitarian work. Mr. Manyango described the donation as a dream come true, most especially when the Clinic continues to face difficulties ranging from stipends for staff to the purchase of adequate drugs.
