National Bar admits 5 attorneys-at law

The Liberia National Bar Association admits five Attorneys-At-Law into its Bong County Chapter, with mandate from Chief Justice Francis Korkpor as part of efforts to improving the Justice System here.


The five Attorneys admitted in the Bong Bar Association during the opening of the May 15, 2018 Term Court, include former Bong County Electoral District#4 Representative Lester Mulbah Paye, Joseph Collonmeah, Sr., James Bomosee, Godson Magill, and Emmah Sumo, respectively.

Officially the ceremony, Resident Judge of the 9th Judiciary Circuit Court in Gbarnga, Bong County, Boimah Kontoe, urges the Lawyers to exercise high level of professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

He says as graduates of the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, University of Liberia, the judiciary branch of government expects the Attorneys to meaningfully contribute to the Justice System of Liberia positively rather than serving at the detriment of the State and its citizens.

Speaking to reporters after his induction, Attorney Lester Mulbah Paye expresses delight over his acceptance as a member of the local bar.Ā The former Bong County lawmaker promises that he is going to the Judiciary branch to make maximum impact on the Justice System of Liberia after serving the Legislature for six years.

He underscores that young people should not rely on one career, but should also venture in other initiatives that would enable them to make more meaningful contributions to society, while sustaining their families.

The Liberian National Bar Association (LNBA) was established on February 4, 1907 by an act of the National Legislature. The Bar comprised of lawyers, judges and law school students.

The LNBA is an independent, ethical, and improved judiciary and legal education system thru which access to justice and its administration is effectively managed, for public benefit.

The body of legal luminaries seeks to promote access to justice, legal professional ethics, effective administration of justice, and enhance fraternal bond among members and between itself and Bars of foreign countries.
