NCFHA donates items worth over L$100,000

A United States based humanitarian group identified as the Nmah Clarke Family Humanitarian Aid has donated food, clothes and school materials valued at over L$100,000 to several communities here.

Speaking at a news conference in Monrovia recently, the Executive Director of the group Madam Tuwroh Nmah Clarke and her husband Delarno Clarke said the donation is intended to help the needy, both children and elderly people.

Mrs. Clarke says the donation is expected to be made to several communities including Suehn Mecca, Grand Cape Mount County, Logan Town Community, Montserrado and Marshall, Margibi County respectively with the aim of identifying with underprivileged communities.

“Our mission is to provide food, clothing, shoes, school supplies and other daily necessities quarterly, and toys annually to the Suehn Town children and their families in Suehn Mecca District and other surroundings such as Marshall Margibi county and Logan Town Montserrado county in Monrovia, Liberia,” Mrs. Clarke says.

The group says it hopes to serve as many other families as possible with the help its donors and sponsors.

The group educates children and prepares them for school. It provides food, clean drinking water and clean environment for the children.

According to Mrs. Clarke, the desire of she and her family is to bring assistance without discrimination against any family. The group’s purpose is to nourish the children today for a chance of a better tomorrow.

Speaking on behalf of the residents of Suehn, Mr. Siakai Sirleaf said the donation is timely and it came at the most needy time.
He says residents are proud of Mrs. Clarke who is product of the community’s secondary school and the contributions she has made to the community and the district at large. For his art, Arthur Kabah of Marshall says Liberians will be forever grateful to the Clarke for the wonderful job well done.
