NEC begins ‘Lessons Learnt’ confab

The National Elections Commission (NEC) in collaboration with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems and United Nations Development Program (UNDP)  begins  a three-day Lessons learnt Conference today, Monday on the December 20, 2014 Special Senatorial Election.

A press release from NEC says the conference will be held in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, and will bring together senior officials of the NEC as well as elections regional and magisterial staff across the country.

During the conference, the heads of departments, units and sections of the commission will make presentations on their experiences during the election.

The Experiences and recommendations evolved from the conference would be used to improve the conduct of future electoral processes.

Local and international Stakeholders of the Commission are also due to attend the gathering which will end on Wednesday.
