NEC releases 2017 Elections timetable
The National Elections Commission (NEC) will today, Friday, June 17, officially release key dates for the 2017 Presidential and Representatives Elections.
According to a press release issued in Monrovia, the timetable tracks important dates throughout the election cycle, including Voter Registration, Issuance of Writ of Elections, Exhibition of Provisional Registration Roll, Release of Final Voter Registration Figures, Candidates Nomination, Publishing of Final List of Candidates, Political Campaign Period, Election Day and Announcement of Final Elections Results, among others.
The NEC says the release of key dates for 2017 is part of efforts to engender public awareness and participation in all aspects of the electoral process. The exercise is a media event and will be held at the headquarters of the Commission in Monrovia. Press release
