New Bong Health Officer’s tours facilities

Bong County new Health Officer Gabriel GorbeeLogan, is presently on a tour of various Health facilities across districts in the county. According Dr. Logan, the aim of his tour is to ascertain constrains facing health care providers across the County and how some of such problems can be solved.

Dr. Logan is conducting meetings with community leaders, Trained Traditional Midwives, General Community Health Volunteers, as well as various clinicians, among others. The tour started last week in the Zota-Panta and Kpaii catchments area.

He will today conclude with Kpaii catchment areas and simultaneously start with Korkoya. The greatest problems facing many health facilities already visited by Dr. Logan include lack of maternal waiting homes, delays in the provision of drugs by Government and partners, lack of incentives for TTMs & GCHVs and the placement of health workers on Government payroll.

After listening to the plights of health workers in total quietude, Dr. Logan reaffirmed the government’s unending support to their wellbeing, though all could not be done at the same time. The new Bong County Health Officer added that weekend packages, gas coupon and stationeries were now available for healthcare workers across the County through his advocacy.
