New LFA Team Makes Several Appointments

The new leadership of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) has appointed the former President of the Liberia Referees Association Idrissa Kaba as Secretary General.

According to the Director for Press and Public Affairs, Henry Flomo, Kaba now succeeds former Acting Secretary General Sam Bedford who was demoted to the assistant secretary general position. Director Flomo added that Benedict Yarsiah was reappointed as Deputy Secretary General for Technical Affairs.

In a related development, Jubilee Praise and Worship Center Bishop John Allan Klayee was appointed as Chairman of LFA Technical Committee. Bishop Klayee, who is also the President of Jubilee FC, will in consultation with the Vice President for Operation put in place effective programs to monitor the league.

He has also been charged with the responsibility of interpreting the rules and regulations of various football leagues across the country. Football stakeholders in the country have welcomed the appointment of Bishop Glayee. They believe he is the right person to head such committee adding, with his sincerity, the lapses that were seen in the past league will be deal with.

It can be recalled that during the LFA March 20th Congress, Congress Members elected Bishop John Aleen Glayee as Executive Committee Member to represent the 18 Premier Clubs.
