“No Zoe Will Interfere in Court Matters”

Sup. Walker Declares

By: Joseph Titus Yekeryan

Bong County Superintendent Esther Walker has assured authorities of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in the County that there will be no traditional interference with judicial matters during this term of court.

”I want to say it very clear here that no Zoe or any Traditional Leader will ever interfere in court issues. We have over the past had problems coming from the traditional people, so we are doing everything possible to stop such act” sup Walker said.

The alleged interference of the Bush Master into court matters in parts of the county has been one major challenge hampering the courts’ operations and the dispensation of justice in rural Bong County.

Currently, about seven local leaders of Salala District, including Commissioner Daniel Tubman are facing a special sentence for obstructing court proceedings and interfering with judicial matters at the Salala, Gbartala and Bong Mines magisterial courts in lower Bong.

Sup Walker asserted that the interference of traditional leaders with judicial matters has caused chaos in the county, adding that the government has embarked on a process to put the situation under control.

“I want to say it very clear here that no Zoe or any traditional Leader will ever interfere in court issues. We have over the past had problems coming from the traditional people so we are doing everything possible to stop such acts” sup Walker said.

She is warning traditional leaders of the county to distance themselves from all judicial matters, as instructed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs
