NPP Executive Resigns

The Assistant National Secretary of the National Patriotic Party of Liberia, has announced his immediate resignation from the Party. In an interview with our Bong County correspondent on Monday March 21, 2016, in Gbarnga, Josiah Marvin Cole cited leadership crisis within the Party as one of the many reasons for his decision.

Mr. Cole asserted that being with the National Patriotic Party for about twenty years, he felt pleased to leave and seek another political home for continuity in political advocacy. The former NPP Executive did not, however, name his next political stopping point before 2017, but spoke of his capability to join any political leader to meet the bench mark of politics in the Country.

Mr. Cole, who is also the Political advisor to Bong County Senator Jewel Howard Taylor, is reportedly thinking about joining the Movement for Economic Empowerment of former Central Bank Governor Mill Jones – the party with which his boss, Senator Taylor, is currently heavily involved, and is expected to serve as a running mate to the former Central Bank Governor in the 2017 elections.
