NPP revamps US Chapter

Ahead of the 2017 presidential and representative elections, political parties here seem to be busy putting themselves in order. The National Patriotic Party or NPP of ex-President Charles G. Taylor is one of such political institutions revamping its activities abroad.

Recently, the NPP, under the watchful eyes of its newly elected national chairman, has revamped its United States Chapter, bringing on board new names to stir the affairs of the party until the elections.

According to a dispatch from the United States of America under the signature of national secretary general Andrew Peters, Mr. Charles C. Gono was elected by partisans of the NPP as Chairman of the US Chapter, Mr. Chris Rogers, vice chairman for operations and mobilization, Mr. Patterson P. Nyenetu, vice chairman for finance and

investment, among others.

The induction ceremony- performed by national chairman Maryland County Representative James Biney, was considered as one of the best following the sour relationship between the former NPP-led government and the United States. Chairman Biney said it was time for partisans of the party to rally support in moving the NPP forward.

He stressed that NPP should be a political force to reckon with during the elections, urging the US-based chapter to take full charge of the Diaspora chapters as others gracefully work with all Liberians. Dispatch
